WHY BPS PERFORMANCE?
PLAN
We'll meet to discuss your health and performance goals and through our comprehensive assessment, create the most effective program to achieve those goals. My job is to lay out the road map (program) to reach each destination (goal). All you need is a good attitude and a willingness to work hard.
NUTRITION
The food we eat plays an enormous role in how our bodies respond to activities and ultimately adapt to stressors. Whether your goals are related to improving health or performance, understanding this key relationship will be invaluable. We'll first monitor how/why you eat the way you do and then focus on small changes.
REMOTE TRAINING
Remote training through FaceTime or Skype is a unique service we offer. No matter where you are in the world, we never have to miss a training session. We've had great success with clients, from traveling business executives, to professional athletes. One of the most important ingredients to success is consistency.
EDUCATION
Most importantly, we will educate you on everything we do. This is to ensure that you understand the plan and how it will help you achieve your goals. My ultimate goal is to leave you empowered and enlightened so that you're fully confident in your health and your ability to move well.
SERVICES
ASSESSMENTS
This can be done in person if you're in South Florida or remotely. We'll go through various tests identifying any muscle imbalances and weaknesses. Additionally, we test grip and jump scores to further analyze your nervous system and muscle fiber makeup. Depending on one's goals we can do more/less based on specific needs including body composition, hypertrophy, etc.
REMOTE CONSULTING
This is a unique service which offers bi-weekly check-ins and two monthly virtual sessions (FaceTime, Skype, Google Meet) to go through each workout. You'll be free to perform workouts on your own each month while having guidance on the execution of the training program. Includes access to the True Coach app.
PRIVATE TRAINING
1-on-1 coaching sessions each week on-site in Boca Raton, Florida or remotely through FaceTime, Skype or Google Meet. Provides the greatest value with constant dialogue on technique, goals, and progress. Frequency of training will depend on goals & availability. On-site location is brand new (January 2022) with much bigger space and amenities.
FAQs
HOW ARE YOU DIFFERENT FROM A REGULAR GYM TRAINER?
I take a holistic approach to training the human body & mind. We will improve the functional capabilities of the human body - moving in multiple planes of motion, at different speeds, with various methods. These methods blend traditional strength training with functional training & provide a multitude of stimuli to constantly challenge the body, avoiding stagnant training & plateaus. Ultimately, each program is individualized to provide the client not only what they want but, also what they need.
WHAT TYPES OF HOME FITNESS EQUIPMENT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Honestly, you do not need a ton of equipment. Some of the basics such as dumbbells, bench, stability ball, and resistance bands go a long way. Adjustable dumbbells (Bowflex, Power Block) are a great option to save space while still having a variety of weights.
DO YOU CHARGE EXTRA FOR NUTRITIONAL GUIDANCE AND A DIET PLAN?
No, I do not. However, I am not a licensed nutritionist nor do I try to be. I know my scope of practice and stay in my lane. What I can provide is guidance and advice on nutrition while helping to cultivate healthier eating habits. We will work to create more awareness around eating and the emotional connections we may have with it.
WHO/WHAT HAS INFLUENCED YOU AND YOUR TRAINING STYLE?
I've had the privilege of working with great people and mentors. I have always sought out the best coaches and trainers to learn their methods and thought processes. This includes but not limited to - Charles Poliquin, Al Vermeil, Dr. Stuart McGill, Eric Cressey, Mark Verstegen, Brett Bartholomew, David Alexander, Paul Fabritz, and Nick Winkelman.
